Pet Box Review!

Pet Box

What exactly is a Pet Box?

A box which is delivered once monthly to your house – full of toys, treats, and goodies for your pet! You start out by filling out a questionnaire for your pet this make the boxes even more individual to your furry friend. You may then pick the plan that suits your buddy the best. The pet box company then sends your pet’s box right to your door!

What’s so different about Pet Box versus ‘those other companies’?

The Pet Boxes that arrive at your door are tailored to your pet! The questionnaire which is filled out for your pet assures that each pet box is individually tailored to the pet in which is to receive it.

My favorite part?

For each box that Pet Box sells, they feed a shelter animal! What’s better than that?!?!

What’s included in the box?

My pet box was PACKED full of fun items! There are SO many different brands that participate in the Pet Box (take a look at all the companies by: clicking here). In our box we received some delicious (the dogs thought so anyways!) skin and coat treats! Boy were they begging for them! We got a new brush for the pups and cats that TOTALLY helps with shedding. We got a few more varieties of treats, a pigs ear, and a great big meaty bone! Overall, my pets were super delighted with their Pet Box.

Would I recommend this product?

A great big YES! Fantastic variety! The pups were interested in all of it!

Red Barn Products!

Posted on

This review is for a few:

Red Barn Products

I contacted the lovely individuals at Red Barn Pet Products to see if they had any ‘up and coming’ products for the pet world that they would like my ‘professional testers’ to try out – and they sure did!

Greek Yogurt Filled Dog Bones

These bones are a hit! The bones have solid white exteriors and are filled with a creamy greek yogurt-like substance. (No lie, I love the smell of them!) The fact that these bones kept my pups busy for a solid 3 hours – during which we havebeen in the midst of a New England snow storm.. is fantastic. I am sending these bones off as highly recommended.. I am also thinking that once they finally get all the greek yogurt out of them, I’m going to reuse these bones and fill them with other goodies!

Bully Coated Sweet Potato Slices

What sweet little treats! These treats are actually sweet potatoes which have been dried, then coated with Red Barn’s special ‘bully stick coating’. I am all for natural foods for my dogs – and what can be better than sweet potatoes? Sweet potatoes are naturally high in Vitamin C, potassium, and Vitamin A. You really can not go wrong with these tasty little concoctions! My dogs have been begging for these – I’ve got to keep this bag hidden!

Denta Doggie Dental Chews

These little bones are filled with ‘doggie fresh toothpaste’, and are not only great for the pups to get ‘chewing’ out of their systems… but also make their breath minty-fresh! As a certified veterinary technician, one of the health issues I see frequently is dental disease (and obesity, but that’s for another post!) and any chewing action a dog can do will only aid to keep the tartar off their teeth. These chews would be great for a smaller dog or a dog who isn’t a really ‘tough chewer’ – as my dogs chewed through them in under 20 minutes. I still highly recommend these – they can only help those pearly whites shine!

Zuke’s Skinny Bakes treats!

It’s no doubt that I am very fond of the Zuke’s company, but these treats put a smile on my face!

One of the biggest health problems I see daily (as a Veterinary Technician) is obese animals. Obesity in dogs can cause a variety of issues: diabetes, severe arthritis, high blood pressure, overall a lessened quality of life. These new treats from Zuke’s are only 10 calories per treat – which make them an ideal training treat (or good for the general snack!). They are absolutely ideal for that ‘doggie on a diet’.

Skinny Bakes come in three varieties: Peanut Butter & Banana, Cherry ‘N Berry Crunch, and Pumpkin ‘N Sweet Potato. These treats smell absolutely DELICIOUS – remind your husband that they are dog treats! As always, these treats are free from fillers and the ingredients use are whole foods. There is no corn, wheat or soy in these treats! What exactly are the ingredients, you ask?

Cherry n’ Berry Crunch: Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Rice Bran, Oat Fiber, Cane Molasses, Berry Blend (Cranberries, Cherries, Blueberries), Oil Blend (Canola oil, Sunflower oil, Olive oil), Natural Flavor, Rosemary Extract, Mixed Tocopherols (a preservative).

Peanut Butter n’ Banana Crunch: Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Rice Bran, Peanut Butter, Bananas, Potatoes, Oat Fiber, Cane Molasses, Oil Blend (Canola oil, Sunflower oil, Olive oil), Natural Flavor, Rosemary Extract, Mixed Tocopherols (a preservative).

Pumpkin n’ Sweet Potato Crunch: Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Rice Bran, Pumpkin, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Potatoes, Pea Fiber, Cane Molasses, Oil Blend (Canola oil, Sunflower oil, Olive oil), Natural Flavor, Rosemary Extract, Mixed Tocopherols (a preservative).

I feel comfortable feeding my own animals these treats, and do on a regular basis. This is a company, and these are treats I stand behind.

Zuke’s Supers Treats Giveaway!

Supers one
I am constantly on the lookout for dog treats for my house. I need something that they are interested in… for training, our walks.. and just helping the behavior of my two rescue dogs. I really approved of the Zuke’s Supers Treats – the dogs remained interested in me while we went for our walk.. and I even managed to distract them from a squirrel.. and that, my friends, is HUGE! These treats are also the perfect size for training – not huge, but not so small you would lose them!
Who is this Zuke’s Company?
The Zuke’s Company is a dog (and cat!) treat company who I enthusiastically recommend. All the meats, veggies, and fruits used to make their products are sourced from the USA (except the Venison and Rabbit which is from New Zealand) and if you’ve read any of my other reviews – where ingredients come from are HUGE in my book. (I prefer to know that all the ingredients in the products I feed my dog come from a reputable location) What did I learn about Zuke’s? All of the products from this company are made with natural, real ingredients!
What exactly are the ingredients in the Supers?
Ground Oats, Tapioca, Beets, Vegetable Glycerin, Cranberries, Blueberries, Gelatin, Molasses, Raspberries, Blackberries, Cherries, Sunflower Oil, Natural Vegetable Flavor, Phosphoric Acid, Sorbic Acid (a preservative), Rosemary, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols.
**These treats are fantastic for gluten sensitive dogs, and are full of antioxidants! I must also say that I approve of there being Turmeric in these treats as well. Turmeric is a spice that has been known to have cancer-fighting properties.
Supers two
Did the dogs like the treats?
They sure did! Not only did Jameson and Morgan like them.. but the dogs I was pet sitting enjoyed them as well. There was not a dog in our household that turned their nose to this treat! (Quite frankly – the berry flavor smells just like a bagful of cranberries!)
What hit home for me with this company?
The Zuke’s Company donates a portion of every portion to the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund. This is a BIG, BIG deal… I will forever be standing behind the company.

Want to give your pup a chance to try these yummy treats?

  • Spread flour (either kind is fine!) and use a rolling pin to roll the dough out.
  • Use your cookie cutter to make the desired shapes, then lay all your cookies out on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
  • Crack one egg in a small bowl – and using a kitchen brush – brush the top of each cookie to create the ‘glazed’ effect. (both yolk and egg whites are fine to use)

These treats are sure to please your pooch!
